PROFINET IO Device Technology
Overview PROFINET IO Device TechnologyTMG TE has a close cooperation with MOLEX on PROFINET and EtherNet/IP. TMG TE took over the maintenance, further development and worldwide sales from Molex. The PROFINET IO Stack enables customers to quickly embed PROFINET protocols for devices thereby reducing their costs and time-to-market. The stacks enable customers to design PROFINET IO-Devices such as IO modules and field instruments. The PROFINET IO Device Stack is completely hardware independent and support 32-bit microprocessors (ARM, Intel, PowerPC, Rx or others) running real-time operating systems like Free RTOS, Embos, TI-RTOS, Linux with real-time-extension or others. The software is delivered as ANSI C source code, user reference guide and samples of implementation. The basic delivery of the PROFINET IO Device Stack realizes Conformance Class B. The stack offers the interfaces to adapt to the IP-Stacks and SNMP-Stacks of the customers platform. Additional option packages are available for PROFINET IRT (Conformance Class C), System Redundancy and Dynamic Reconfiguration. For some platforms we offer prearranged integration. For Renesas RZ/N we offer a platform package which enables PROFINET IO Device Conformance Class B. Evaluation software is available from Renesas. Renesas and TMG TE work closely together to further develop the systems in order to offer high-performance solutions. For Texas Instruments (TI) Sitara and AMIC series we have cooperation with TI. The software to realize the industrial switching inclusive IRT and also the integration files into the TI SDKs are delivered from TI. For evaluation restricted sample/evaluation software is available from TI. |
